Yes, today i want to talk about how to break into affiliate marketing on a shoestring. It is very possible to start the lucrative business of affiliate marketing even if you have no capital at all. So long as you have access to an internet connection you will be fine.

Now i am going to show you an example of the beauty of this business in the worst case senario. Imagine that at home you did not even have a computer let alone internet access. What i would do is go to my local library and use their computers.

I would first start off with article marketing. A lot of people underestimate the power of this free marketing technique. When you are trying to turn nothing into something article marketing is the way to go.

Since i have to use all free tools what i would do next would be to go to a site called cb-analytics dot com and pick two products. I would not pick any product from the "make money online niche. I would go for the evergreen niches such as the gardening market or loans and finance market or dating market, etc. I want things that i put online to be relevant indefinately. Also i would want to go into markets that are less competitive than the "make money online" market.

I would want to know if the two products that i choose have gravity but not too much gravity. I would want to know if the sales pages of the merchants products converts and i would not want to fight with millions of other marketers for traffic.

Products in the "make money online" niche tend to have high gravity because people tend to buy through their own affiliate links. This boosts the gravity of the products. With products outside the "make money online" niche they tend to have a gravity rating less than 30. But i have been presently surprised to see gravity ratings of 3-5.

Dont get me wrong you can market anything but i tend to market things that i have at least a bit of passion in. After picking the two products i would take their sales page urls and put them into a free google keyword tool. Google would then analyse them for me and return all the keywords that are relevant to them.

I would then store all these keywords for use later when i am writing my articles around them. I would then make squidoo lens for each product.. I do this so as to have a landing page to drive article traffic to. Most article directories especially Ezine Articles will not allow direct affiliate links in the resource box area of the article.

The main goal of the squidoo lens is to provide more relevant information on the product i am trying to promote. In the pages of the squidoo lens i will make it possible to have a strong call to action so that the prospect will click thru to the merchants sales page. So my job is not to sell but to presell.

I would also write articles for article directories that allow affiliate links or i will go to a domain site called Godaddy dot com and buy an .info domain name for $1 or $2. I would then write articles for every keyword that i had stored earlier.

With time after writing hundreds of articles i will begin getting checks from clickbank. This is because my articles and squidoo lens will have saturated around the web and because of keyword optimization i would be getting first page rankings in google. This would drive loads of traffic to my article links and make me a lot of sales. This is how to break into affiliate marketing on a shoestring
