With so many home lighting products on the market, you don’t need to break the bank to give your lighting scheme the wow factor. Every night we all sit in our homes with an element of light. In the newer builds they can also be seen in the most common of living areas the lounge. They are difficult to replace without having to think about having the ceiling re-plastered. Bearing this in mind, why not make a feature out of them by using a Snood. The snood clicks onto any generic downlighter by using a magnetic ring. With options ranging from simple, chic shades to the more glamorous mini chandeliers. There is sure to be a snood to meet everyone’s taste and budget. · So you have sorted the ceiling lights, what about the table and floor lamps that need replacing too. Brighten up existing lamps with new shades to compliment your décor or make a statement by choosing a funky coloured or patterned shade. · The darker a room is furnished, then more lighting is required as a lot of the light will be absorbed. Whereas a lighter coloured room will reflect the light back into the room. Illuminate a coloured surface to add a splash of colour. · Too much light? Then a dimmer switch can be used to give your home lighting a more relaxed feel and allows the room to be multi functional. · The placing of the lights is also important. Don’t hang your central light so high that the bulb is visible from beneath. Place wall lights so you cannot see the lamp. This will avoid glare. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a stylish home lighting scheme, with some inspired thinking and a little design know how you can give your home a stylish lift.
